Certificate in Personal Financial Planning
Kansas State University’s Personal Financial Planning graduate certificate program allows you to earn your certificate entirely online, without interrupting your job or relocating. Through the flexibility of Internet-based study, you can make the program fit your schedule, while still learning from respected faculty at a distinguished university.
This 14-month program of study consists of six eight-week courses, with two-week breaks between each course. For the duration of the program, you will work with a knowledgeable faculty mentor — a Ph.D. and CFP® certificant — and a cohort of up to 25 professional peers. Having the same mentor and classmates throughout your courses will enable you to develop relationships and find the support you need as your prepare for your financial planning career.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn a K-State Personal Financial Planning graduate certificate, documenting your expertise in the field. In addition, the program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board), meaning you will be qualified to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination once you graduate. K-State students who sit for the examination have a history of success, boasting an above-average pass rate.
With all coursework counting as graduate credit, you will also have a head-start if you choose to pursue your online master's degree in Personal Financial Planning from K-State.
