The Financial Therapy Clinic is the first university facility in the nation dedicated to conducting cutting-edge clinical research related to financial therapy, financial counseling and financial planning. Research integrates the psychological, emotional and relational aspects of money. Recent research has focused on the office environment and stress as well as financial therapy modalities.
Personal financial planning students can gain hands-on experience in an office-like environment. Students learn various approaches and modalities that are effective in building strong client-facilitator relationships. State-of-the-art observation equipment allows faculty and peers to provide immediate feedback to enhance students' skills. Students are not only prepared to work with clients when they graduate, but they are also prepared to conduct clinical research.
